I put this programme on Ebay a couple of weeks ago and although this normally sells for decent money this was a very poor version.

I always try and describe all the faults on a programme and in this instance I said this:-

Poor condition. This programme has major faults. Only bid if you are happy to accept the programme with the faults listed below.

The back cover appears to have been stuck down at some stage at the 4 corners, and in the middle at both sides. Removal of the programme has torn away part of the cover from each of the areas where it was stuck and in some parts has some of the material that it was stuck on.

The programme also has writing on the front and back, team changes, score and scorers noted in the centre, fixture list completed with all remaining scores. no staple, slight rust marks on the cover and inside and a horizontal fold.

The programme sold for £1.99, the starting price, and I was happy with that.

The programme has now reappeared on Ebay within a few days starting at £9.99 showing just the front cover and with the following description:-

There is some writing on the Programme and damage to the back cover

Stanley Matthews was playing for Blackpool

Staple also removed

When I saw the programme listed again I was fuming but that's business I suppose and if he can get away with selling it again at a big profit without fully describing the condition then good luck to him.

I have however added him to my blocked bidders list.

By the way he also charges £1.25 for economy delivery.

The seller is a bit cheeky by not providing pictures of the damaged back page (unlike you). He could have a disgruntled buyer if he isnt careful. No

I hope he does sell it and have a long running and bitter dispute with the buyer.

If I bought the programme on the basis of his description I would be absolutely livid.

to be honest the rovers v blackpool 47/8 is one of the most common rovers homes from that season and in my opinion worth about £35 to £40 in excellent condition, he will struggle to offload it at £10 plus, but as you said business is business.

The last couple I researched went for between £20 and £30 so it is very likely he will sell this for at least the starting price because he hasn't given a proper description of the programme's condition.

I have also sent him a question about seeing a photo of the back cover.
