Had to contact paypal today via email to discuss why they are taking fees out my account when I have an agreement that say they won't take fees for 45 days. This was a special promotion run for Worldpay clients.

No. 1 response I got back: - We don't run that sort of promotion so if you had an email it defiantly wasn't from us.

I replied with the link and further details.

No. 2 response I got back: - The last agent was mistaken that may have been our promotion. This is how to deal with spoof emails.

Getting a tad annoyed now, I pointed out I didn't need to know about how to deal with poof emails I just wanted them to deal with my problem.

No. 3 response I got back:- This is a list of our fees and how they are worked out.

Bit angry now so I sort of hit the nail on the head and sent both barrals asking for proper support or them to forward to someone who could deal with the problem.

No.4 response I got back:- The is no such promotions, we did run a promotion but it wasn't that one. You asked about emails we sent information, you asked about fee we sent information. It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing PayPal.

And this is still going on ... just to prove I wasn't mad before it started here is the link to said promotion. You might ask why I don't contact worldpay, well it's paypal taking money off me and after all the should know about their own offers right ?

A couple of years ago I had a major problem with PayPal. I'm struggling to remember all the details but it went something like this:

1. They took something like £25 out my bank account in 'seller fees'
2. I queried this as I hardly ever sell anything and they claimed it was for another seller account. I asked them what account (no information).
3. I said I wasn't happy as I had no idea what they were talking about.
4. They replied that I must have given the authority to someone else to charge my account for their seller costs - or my computer isn't secure (I stressed that all my activity is done at home)
5. I said that this wasn't the case but in any event what account are we talking about (no information given)
6. After about TEN calls to their headquarters, much arguing & complaining - and at least four weeks of hassle I finally got reimbursed. Frankly all this trouble just to get my own money back as a result of either a cock up on their part or a theft was pretty awful. Any normal business wouldn't behave like they do.

So my advice is to stick it to them and keep going until they give you what you are entitled to - including some compo.

Not really having a great week to be honest.

I feel like shite, think I might have tonsillitis. Ebay fugging me about, ebay users fugging me about, paypal fugging me over, betfair fucked me over already as have 888.

Site advertisers won't pay for ads they ordered. I seem to have lost a batch 20 magazines someone bought yesterday. The royal mail might have lost an ebay item.

Printer has run out of ink, ordered but not yet here. I've got work piled up and DIY left half done. Still not got a pressie for her indoors (27th Nov) and you can stuff xmas I tell ya.

Even the dog has decided he won't come to me now when I let him of the lead !

I and the people around me are very thankful to the Albion for winning on Saturday Laughing

What a terrible run of luck you are having.

As my Grandad used to say - If you fell in a barrel of tits you'd come out sucking your thumb.

Clap love it.

Might be turning now, no thanks to paypal.

After a few more emails their last response yesterday included this;

"The promotion you are talking about Mr Langston is a promotion that was offered by worldpay and the onus is on them for refunds.

PayPal will always charge the standard charges for fees."

I didn't mind that reply so much as it meant I could now simply forward to worldpay - a far more professional and effical company in my opinion.

They acutely tried to phone me this morning but I was out. Just got their email saying they have contacted paypal and paypal will be refunding all amounts due direct to my account.

Easy
