I find more laughable that, when it was only one game, our clown of a manager was going to play at least 3 warm-up games without him. So the rest of the team could adjust to not having him in the team.
3 games is laughable but he might as well stay at home because the rest of them will be back then anyway. |

Maybe it would be good to take him, but if the team play well without him why would you then change that? |

You also made the Rugby World Cup Finals........where English rugby players discovered how to act like pompous, childish, fuckwitted, Premiership footballers. Jumping off ferries, dwarf throwing, heavy drinking sessions, and generally delinquent behaviour. You're welcome to everything English. I'm just waiting for my home country to do the biz over France on Saturday, and the international team have now got some real young gems playing regularly. Three successive Euro qualifying wins on the trot bodes well for the future. The players all seem to understand what having a modicum of good behaviour means as well. |

I would have given him 3 for the kick and an extra 2 for the pathetic and ludicrous attempt to get the ban reduced or minimalised by writing a begging letter saying that these actions (The begging letter) are a disgrace to the game and bringing the game into disrepute.
As for the FA considering appealing the decision they really need to think about what message they are sending out to the millions of kids who play football, they would be endorsing that fact that Wayne Rooney does not have to abide by the laws of the game and can do what he likes.
No matter what way you look at it Rooney is a petulant idiot for his on pitch actions and by the sounds of it everyone seems to think that it's OK for him to kick opponents because he is Wayne Rooney.
Rooney and the FA might as well join the Rugby players in bringing shame to the country, they ain;t good for anything else.. _________________ Maidstone/Tottenham fan |

England can take who they like it doesn't really matter because they have no chance on winning the tournament. The likes of Rooney at footballl and the muppets parading as international rugby stars sum up all that is wrong with professional rugby union and soccer.
If the FA had any moral courage they would douible Rooney's ban.
I see the government has given the FA until Feb 2012 to gets its act together, any chance of that happening? Of course not. |

No I wouldn’t take him, Rooney flatters to deceive for England and has become a liability we don’t need, Based on what he did at the World Cup 2010 it will be a blessing in disguise not having him there - He’s no longer a raw talent for England but a run of the mill forward - Leaving him out will probably the best thing that could happen for him and his England career long term _________________ Every Man Needs A Hobby |

If an appeal is successful and it gets reduced to 1 game, then yes, otherwise I dont see how he can go. Its not fair on the other players and England may not even get out of the group, thus wasting an essential squad place. Its hard to name a player at this time in the season who may be a suitable replacement as a lot can happen between now and then, but Capello HAS to use the friendlies between now and the Euros to plan without Rooney. Jeez, what an idiot. Still, if I were a Man Utd fan id be well happy, barring injury (and other Rooney induced incidents), he'll be an ever-present. |

Talking of Rugby upon arrival back at Heathrow Airport Manu Tuilagi was asked to sum up England's performance at the World Cup in a few words, to which he replied "World Cup". I thought we were on Mike Tindall's stag do. |

Not as good as the banter in my local Scottish pub on Tuesday night. It's half time in Alicante, and a guy at the bar says "I reckon we'll get 4 or 5 in the second half"
Somewhat taken aback someone asked him how on earth he thought Scotland would score 4 goals
"I didn't mean goals, I was talking about touches...." |

Leave Shrek behing next summer as he hasn't turned it on at previous World/Euro Finals.
Also wouldn't pick him for anymore England squads until after next years Euro Finals. |

Best thing to happen to England in years. Rooney is a thug and we are better of without him. We win more games when he doesn't play. And at every tournament he has been to he has been crap most of the time. Play the youngsters instead. _________________ I am not gas, I am a Pirate.

Let's face it he's more than a bit of a dickhead but that doesn't mean that he deserves a 3 match ban if other players don't get equally punitive punishment for all their cheating and diving. I guess it's far too much to expect all this crap to stop so tough luck son, you're the one who's paying the price for a stupid petulant foul. |
