I went to the New England Revolution v Manchester United friendly last night and wanted to update any collectors on what was available programme wise....

1. $10 official programme. This one has a Blue cover with the 2 team logos but the interior was more like a tournament brochure for the whole world football challenge series including LA and Real madrid among others.

2. Alternate official programme - black with match details on the front and seemingly produced for the Man Utd US tour element only. Much thinner that the one above but still a really nice glossy effort. Unlike the other one, this has squad lists on the back cover.

3. Official team roster sheet. Glossy one page sheet available only from customer service windows inside the stadium. Has the squad lists on one side and a New England Revolution corporate advert on the other - looks like this one was produced by the Revolution themselves.

4. US tour lanyard - given away to everyone entering the stadium.

I will try to get some pics up on here later.

Thats great - really pleased for you .

Went to the Fleetwood v PNE game last night and got sweet fanny adams - no programmes in sight and service slower than a snails backside , thought about asking for a refund but as Preston won i decided not .

I know its non league but i've been to baseball games in America and the service, quality of merchandise , food etc is a million years ahead of us and so with the pre match entertainment .

You also get 2-4 hours worth of a game - no crowd segregation and are treated like humans not thugs .

Another thing the Americans like doing is

listing the away side first .
Same in baseball .

If it rains at a baseball game you have to hang around for ages for a dry spell in case they re start the game (thats another downside)

Also that Fleetwood v PNE programme is up to £6 on ebay now . I was gonna buy 10 !!!!!Seems like some seasider had the same idea . Shake

In America if you light a fire behind a car they call it tail-gating.
If you do it in England they call it arson.
In America they thank you for coming and "hope you have a nice day" but in England they open as few turnstiles as possible and don't give a f*ck(especially in the Premier League)
i can see by my watch list that some of you have been following my own personal task of Hercules to learn how to use Flickr
I have now updated a lot of Manchester United items(mostly programmes) from the early tours of America.
I have also put on some other items such as early youth cup programmes.
if anybody wants to follow it i hope you will find something you enjoy.
If anybody has any requests ie Manchester United v your club programmes please send me a pm and i will do my best to oblige.
