It has been left too late now and I think the FA will play it safe (ie. they may get a small points deduction which still leaves them top and doesn't affect any other placings)

very interesting.......one of the main problems is that none of us are privy to any information. We simply don't know the facts. Theories are fuelled by the nation's media. Observers, like us, can only speculate if they so wish.

The fact that QPR have won the league, and have powerful and influential owners which Scudamore and his cronies can't wait to welcome with open arms , should have no bearing on the outcome.

Each alleged offence (and note that is what they are...alleged)
should be taken on face value.

In relation, to third party ownership, a complex area, at the best of times. Then, if found guilty, the FA will probably fine them.
The FA could argue 'they have no precedent' in the Football League to relate to.

QPR are worried........ if (and again, that's a big 'if') found guilty of the charge of 'attempting to pay an unlicensed agent', like Luton were, then that would surely carry a similar 10 point deduction?

Then again, will the FA play a blinder.... (if any wrong-doing is proved) could they not argue, that the majority of the offence(s) took place last season, dock Rangers 10 points from last season only, leaving them 4th bottom on goal difference. Big fine and order them to pay back their share of the prize money.......or would that be too convenient?

I don't see why they couldn't have made the decision earlier.

Whatever happens, Cardiff or Swansea (Whoever finishes 3rd) are going to appeal if it isn't a strong enough points deduction to warrent them an automatic place. If a points deduction does take place, then QPR are going to appeal that. Will the play-offs have to be put back?

I've now changed my mind and think that a hefty points deduction is the fairest way of doing things Laughing

I think the appeals process can only take seven days, so there has been mention of the playoffs being shifted back by a week.

If it is a points deduction and QPR appeal does anyone think that the Football League will allow the other clubs to vote on it? Remember, this precedent was set when Leeds Utd 1st appealed the -15 points deduction a couple of years back. Of course the clubs (chairmen) sided with the authorities.

Can't really see how QPR can escape this one, the real issue is that it has taken the authorities until now, the final week of the season, to get its act together and hear the case.

This matter should have been sorted months ago.

yeah right, i wonder why ??!! Very Happy Very Happy

serious question though, which applies to both of our teams. say qpr get 10/15 points off and we/you are the team to benefit, you know that club will be labelled with the stigma that their only up because of qpr's sanctions. would that rest easy with you ?? im not sure it would me, as evry game next season it will be brought up i feel!!

seriously, i think victory is a formality for you on sat, and we will be lucky to get a point this w/e!! moral will be very low!!

If the FA don't deduct points from QPR, will Luton go to court over their points deductions that sent them to the conference. How much will that cost the FA?

So on Saturday afternoon QPR will be Champions, us or Cardiff will be third, and Leeds or Burnley will be 7th just missing out on the playoffs. A week tonight the first playoff semi-final is supposed to take place. If they don't decide before Monday how the fudge are people supposed to make plans in such a short space of time?

Leaving it this late is an absolute joke.

I think deduction of points rather than a fine is the only way if found guilty !!!!

A fine to the clubs don't mean a fig.

In fact, the premier league & FA should deduct points for lack of respect toward referees........that would make them all toe the line, managers, players etc

No points deduction this season or next but a hefty financial penalty to pay - so, despite losing 1 - 2 to Leeds Utd, Rangers are Champs. Play-offs will be interesting, personally I fancy Reading (no, I do not support them!)
