A few weeks before the decision is given, will certainly be interesting to see what the FA do.

On one hand you have QPR who may get fined which will result in the 3rd place team starting legal action

The other scenario would be QPR being deducted points putting them in the playoffs...what for the team moved out because of this

On the other hand QPR could be deducted points which takes them out of the playoffs sparking another legal battle.

In my eyes the FA have known long enough about this and it should of sorted out before the last day of the season !!

once again our governing bodies have shown their ineptitude for actually managing the game. They should have looked at the Tevez-West Ham-Sheff Utd debacle and learnt lessons but it appears not. Maybe their compromise will be a points deduction that keeps them in the top 2 but denies them the championship.

Whatever they now do it will be considered a bodge up.

Morning Tynie, basically QPR signed Alejandro Faurlin in the summer of 2009.

With the intro of the Football League's rules regarding the subject of third party ownership after the Tevez debacle, QPR informed the League earlier this season that they wished to buy out a third party who owned his economic rights.

The League then alerted the FA and the Club were warned that they may have been in breach of the rules for over a year.

Only last month, the FA said it wanted the situation sorted before the season finished. And yet, this is the same organzation that has been investigating this since September.

It should have been sorted out then.

As Goonerboy says lessons appear to have been ignored, and whatever happens, it is going to be deemed a 'botch job'

Yet another example of how the football authorities are not 'Fit for Purpose'. Why does it take so long for these matters to be resolved? Have we heard the results of the 'Bung Inquiry' yet? What do these people do all day? After the Tevez debacle I can't see QPR being deducted points so why all the fuss? Just hand out the fine and get on with it.

The current Parliamentary Inquiry into the running of the game is very critical of the whole business of running the FA/Premier League and Football League. Why do the football authorities wait until a club is in financial trouble before stepping in? Why are they not ensuring clubs pay tax and NI contributions on time? I am still none the wiser on who appoints these people, how long for and how much they get paid etc. What is clear is that they do not appear to be administering the national game, a multi-million pound industry very well. Are things likely to change in the near future? - Don't hold your breath!

Yes, he's a regular with 39 appearances this season.

The period (last season) which is the time that QPR are alleged to be in breach of the rules he made 30 odd appearances and won the player of the year award from team-mates and also the supporters.

Hmmmm....I would therefore be tempted to say that a fine is the appropriate punishment. If the player has not broken any rules this season, then I can’t see how they can be punished by a points deduction (unless they gained promotion last season upto the Championship, which I don’t think they did). Any points deduction should have occurred last season, IMO.

The top 6 will still be the same. It would just be one team (Norwich or Cardiff) getting the automatic spot that would be made available and QPR will then be in the play-offs instead.

This scenario, i'm confused by what you mean "what for the team moved out because of this"

If QPR are deducted points then depending on how many they get deducted depends on how far they drop back:

Currently the league stands at:

QPR 85
Norwich 80
Cardiff 79
Swansea 74
Reading 73
Forest 69

If QPR get deducted 10 points then they will have 75 points and be in the playoffs(Norwich and Cardiff move up to the automatic promotion spots and Swansea/Reading/Forest remain in the playoff spots, along with QPR)

If QPR get deducted 15 points then they will have 70 points and just be in the playoffs but will be below Norwich, Cardiff, Swansea and Reading and 1 point above Forest

So Basically teams can benefit form QPR points deduction but no one will be worse off other than QPR

Think theres about 7 charges in total...also this

Rangers have been charged with agreeing a deal with a third party, understood to be an Italian agent, for Faurlin's economic rights and failing to notify the FA of the arrangement.

It is also alleged that QPR used or sought to pay an unauthorised agent and, along with chairman Gianni Paladini, submitted false documents when Faurlin extended his deal last year.

will be interesting Smile

Ive heard that QPR will get off lightly due to the fact it was them that bought the matter to the football league's attention

I don't want them to take points off them now, it won't benefit us at all because we'd have to get past them in the playoffs and they've been the best team in the league this season.

It's been reported that they might get 15 points deducted though, which would put them on 70, in 5th place between Reading and Forest.

To be honest we bottled it like we did against you in 2009.

The season is gone after today, confidence will be shot.
