It must be my lucky weekend:
1. I win £120 on Friday on the Oaks winner (£6 E/W at 16/1) - my Betting Account Balance goes up from £2 to £134
2. I stake £9.50 on Derby Day - 4 horses (2 winners) returns nearly £60
3. 3 Lottery Tickets bought - won £51 (4 numbers)

Log into Ebay - spot the Holy Grail of Everton Programmes - Gornik Friendly 1991 - on offer from a Genuine Seller (A guy I know) for just £50 - armed with the £220 profit from the previous two days I purchase this and, for just £6 an Versace Tie signed by Big Dunc!!

Oh, and I played in a National Bridge Final over the weekend in Hinckley and finished 33rd of 113 - quite respectable.

Managed to pick up quite a few of my outstanding wants from Brentside auctions on ebay a fortnight ago, then had a look at their website yesterday and noticed they had another two homes I need and three of the six aways I was missing for league games from 1965 onwards.

Also bidding on another one of them on ebay, a single sheet from the game at Bradford City in 68/69.

Now I just need to find money to pay for them all.

Finally bought Tottenham V Sheffield Wednesday 1960/61. I now have every Sheffield Wednesday league programme, home and away, for the last 50 years! Has taken me at least 6 years to get them all and at times I didn't think it was ever going to happen!!

Now for the one remaining FA Cup programme....

Congratulations on your collection Senior ,Wednesday was always one of my fav grounds to visit as a young Evertonian early 60s & 70s, and do you know that my all time football hero the late Derek Dougan nearly signed for them early 70s .Was headlines on the sports page of the Daily Mail that he had actualy signed for them.

I never knew that Phil, maybe he might have saved us from dropping into the third tier.

Wolves star all set for another move.
WEDNESDAY BAG DOUGAN.
Wrote the headlines on the back page of the Daily Mail 7/9/70.
Derek Dougan will join Sheffield Wednesday today to begin a fresh career for the eighth time.Wednesday team manager Danny Williams agreed to pay £35,000 for Wolves Northern Ireland center-forward at a secret meeting in Scotland, the deal was finalised after Dougan played impressivly in Wolves Texico British Cup tie at Dundee United ,was how the feature started by reporter Derek Potter.
For some reason the deal never went through ,i supose Wednesdays loss was Wolves gain with The Doog going on to enjoy another four great seasons at Molineux and becoming a bit of a cult figure to a great number of Wolves followers.

Just won the Arsenal v England Amateur XI 1955.
Totally delighted, probably paid a tad over it's actual value but had no choice as I was at the Arsenal Blackpool game yesterday (6 -0 yeah) and spent all of today having the best day ever watching the British Touring cars at Silverstone. As I was away I bid really early and kept going until I was highest bidder, (naughty), but attendance was a mere 4000, so quite a rare programme.
Anyone else had a beauty this weekend?
