I accessed it via The British Newspaper Archive. It costs around £89 for an annual subscription. There are currently more than 75 million newspaper pages available. I find it an invaluable source of information on football and other historical matters.

Further investigation has revealed that the 1913 Irish League v Football League game was not played at Solitude Cliftonville but at Grosvenor Park Distillery.

Another example of a stat being on the internet and copied incorrectly down the years multiple times to different sites.
