Looking through a box of bits and pieces that l have kept over the years l found these items relating to the Wembley Wizards 1928, England 1 Scotland 5. It looks like the autograph hunter wrote to Tom ‘ Tiny Bradshaw and goalkeeper Jack Harkness. What struck me is the fact that as well as sending a nice letter back to the fan , Jack also sent him a press photo for his collection. It’s interesting that Liverpool’s ‘ Tiny’ Bradshaw only won one Scotland cap, marking the great ‘ Dixie ‘ Dean out of the Wembley game. I think ‘ Dixie’ got his own back in several Merseyside Derby games though
