Who played at Blackburn on 22 Mar 197 ?

Can anyone help in identifying the match ? I looked at the 11v11 football site and the only time blackburn played on 22 March in 1970s was away to Brighton in mid 70s. Was this a first team that then was moved or a friendly/testimonial or perhaos reserve match ? Or was it not even Blackburn but a game at Ewood ? Any help much appreciated.

Not a guarantee - but the only 22 March in the 1970s on a Saturday was in 1975 (when they were at Brighton as you say)

Maybe a Blackburn collector would know if the reserves were at home that day?

Two possibilities

74-75 Rovers Reserves v Sheff Utd
79-80 Rovers reserves v Sheff Wed

Rovers also played Man Utd in a friendly on 22nd March 1970-71 but J Howarth was not club secretary at that time

Thanks the 79/80 option is out of the equation as March of that season is in 1980 while the 3rd number is clearly indicating its the 1970s. Of course it may not be a saturday but a midweek fixture.

Blueshearer if you have access to reserve fixtures any other years when they played at home on 22 March midweek ?
