Some good prices being realised again.

Hereford lot number 880 sold for £360-must be something rarer in there?

Hereford v Cardiff friendly is rare but the other friendly must have been equally as rare. I was the underbidder.

The 45 Cardiff v Swansea friendly, £380 was the underbidder on that also

I was gutted - I was going to bid on a set of Bangor issues which included a friendly v West Ham - got distracted by a work call and didn't bid - it went for well under what I would have paid

Of course I might have been outbid anyway but all my fault

Bit of a mixture from what I could see. Some good prices for a few lots - some pre-war items went rather well - and some good prices for buyers.

Two items I noted that were unsold owing to too high a reserve in the previous auction, were sold today at lower prices than what the highest bid was at that last auction.

Everything I was interested in attracted very high prices. Does anybody have a cleanish Bournemouth pre war to sell to me, thanks

The prices last time were those which the Auctioneer had conjured to get the lots to the reserve, which is his job, but as you say the reserves were obviously too high then and no attempt by him worked, so when a more sensible number was applied to those lots the items sold and of course "appeared" to be cheaper than before, but in reality the former prices were simply BS.
