Are any events/games planned to mark these this year - or maybe next in circumstances?

Apparently a big friendly in March. It was to be Italy but now they are in the playoffs.

The silence has been deafening, hard to imagine another major sporting organisation so resolutely fail to use a centenary to promote the game.

There was a centenary jersey produced and worn in a recent friendly.

I don't think Bohemians or Shelbourne (the two founder members of the league in 1921 who are still there) did anything of note to mark the centenary

The Scottish Football League’s centenary in 1990 was a damp squib.
For their big match they choose to play….Scotland!
Only 15,000 turned up at a mostly-empty Hampden for the game.

The FAI did produce a nice centenary themed programme for the Belgium game

The FAI centenary website is quite nice, not much in the way of history but a good lot of profiles of international, domestic, female and underage players
