Surprising how many pre -war Newport issues failed to sell?

I was watching it live and those shown as not sold, all had bids of around £140.

I saw one of the items I pre-bid on go by as passed, which I thought was unsold, but I contacted Sportingold and they confirmed I had won that item

Several failed to sell as there have been several available lately due to the sad passing of a collector. They will sell in the end but people can only afford a few at a time.

They would not be bids, it would be the auctioneer offering the next bid as the reserve price. Happens all of the time at auctions.
