Can anyone help me? I'm looking to obtain some binders for my collection. I had bought about 60 from, I think it was programmebinders.co.uk a few years ago. But he mentioned he was closing the business due to ill health. I haven't heard from him since.

I have attached some pics. I would ideally like something similar. It can fit about 24 modern programmes in so they're ideal. I still need to print off my own spine labels which I will do in due course. If anyone can point me in the direction of something similar that would be great.

Kind Regards

I bought over 30 binders to store my programme collection a few years ago from Modern Bookbinders in Blackburn. Their website says they are still operating.

https://www.modernbookbinders.com/product/new-football-programme-binder-slipcase/

I got the pocket ones which house an entire season of homes and aways and my larger programmes post 1990 are still in shoeboxes.

Like smk06, I have purchased from modern bookbinders recently.
They will print you a label for each one as well (in the price).

John Wilson for me anyway, if you are spending good money on quality programmes, good quality binders are essential to keep them in.

Thanks for the replies everyone. How many modern day programmes can you get in the modern book binders ones?

Looks like I may need 2 binders for a full season of current home programmes? With cup games let's say 24 games a season. Is that about right or would I fit them in 1 binder? Thanks for the help.

I don't use moderbookbinders for modern, although they do offer a slipcase folder which are more suited for the bulky modern programme

https://www.modernbookbinders.com/product/new-football-programme-binder-slipcase/

Like I say, I've not tried these, only the pocket folders for anything that is 50 years or older

In response to the original post I used the same supplier and was gutted I could not afford to order more while I could. I have searched and contacted so many companies but I finally found one who would assist.

They have advised if I buy 40 of the “standard” sized binders they would charge me £572.54 +VAT (Including tooling). Due to tooling it is almost the same price for 10 of the A4 binders I need for the stupid square sized programmes my club had but the price will get lower if I order more so if you are thinking of maybe adding onto my order so we can get them cheaper give me a shout and I can get in touch.

I have to agree with your last post saying that those "square" programmes Boro made are really annoying and tough to store & fit with the rest of your collection.

I got progs from Preston, Swindon, Swansea, Forest & Huddersfield, all made since 2009/10, that are awkward, square, or odd shaped.....?

And you wonder why they do it. Why do they design them like that? Surely they must know they a pain?

I have to store them out of place, out of season, all together, at end of a shelf.

You'd have thought the programme makers would have got the message by now... Don't do it!

Cheers
Gary

Nice one Don! Very Happy

It would certainly appear that way sometimes. Then there are the single sheet issues etc etc - a mixture of nice files and lever arch files (using acid free sleeves) is my way of overcoming the issue.

I see that we have a friendly match coming up in July - it's been a long time since the last one.
