Is there an Ebay deadline for doing whatever is required for managed payments?

April 21st

Date differs depending on when you are asked by ebay to register. I had to register by 15th January , a friend of mine was back in October.

ah okay. Thought everyone was the same

So I appear to be subject now to the new payment rules, I sold a BIN item yesterday and the payment is still "processing".

Re the fees, it sold for £100, plus £6.00 postage, so £106.

I'm only getting £92.13, a deduction of £13.87, I was expecting a deduction of £10.60, 10% so what would the rest of the fees be made up of if the payment is headed directly to my bank account?

Assuming you are not a business seller on Ebay managed payments you pay 12.8 % + 30p per transaction which I think works out at exactly £13.87.
No PayPal fees to pay now.

Thanks. Not much saving then, would rather the money went into my PayPal TBH.

It shoud drop into your Bank account on Monday morning Pompey.

There is usually a 48 hour delay in all payments landing - ie: sell Monday, In Bank Wednesday etc.
They don't send out at weekends, so that causes a slight delay.

Personally, I prefer the old way with Paypal, but I've got my head around it all now and it's working fine.

Also, in case you don't know.

If you go into your seller hub and select Payments and then select Payouts, by clicking on the Payout ID, you will be able to see all of the transactions in that particular payout.

They don't show until they have sent to your bank though.

Hope this helps.

Depends what payout schedule you have chosen, daily or weekly ?
This can be changed by clicking on Payments then payout settings.

Good point blue.
I forgot about that as I set mine to daily at the start otherwise it would become much more difficult to follow.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.

Mine is set to daily (perhaps thats the default setting)

I just have to be patient

Need to get my head around sending the goods before I see payment

Why wait until you see the payment?

Surely if E Bay says the buyer has paid and to send the item, any problems after that are down to them.

No. Ebay are rolling it out in stages.

Nobody gets a choice, it is happening, regardless of what anybody wants.

They must be near to completing the roll out now, but they should advise you a few weeks before you go on to it.

Why has it set up a direct debit?

Because after a couple of months of being on the new system, they will drop the option to pay them via Paypal completely and take their fees etc direct from the pending payments due to you, but if there are not enough funds there, they will go to the back account you have listed with them.

Ah so not a permanent direct debit/amount. I get it now. Apologies, very very nervous with banking stuff. Was worried they'd take amounts without letting me know.. thanks.

How could there be 'not enough funds'?
Under this new system when the buyer pays Ebay hold the money taking their cut before passing on the balance.

Ebay pay the seller on a daily or weekly basis. No sales one week refund given = not enough funds to cover refund.

Very easily.

This month my bill was around £550 to pay to Ebay.
As I have my settings to daily payouts, they took what was sitting there ready to be paid out the following day (which was about £250) and took the remainder from my bank.
