Had a quick skim through the auction lots.... maybe I'm missing something but I'm not seeing much of real excitement..... no prewar, wartime, 40s, rare euro aways etc? Myabe I missed some tasty lots, but the vast majority looks like 60s to date stuff that could be picked up from catalogues or eBay

Seand, the seller was interviewed on BBC television when it went to News from The North West , this morning. It was hard to work out why. The angle was ‘a fans lifetime collection goes up for auction’ . Maybe not much is happening in my neck of the woods? I hope the lad makes a fortune, but , as you said , after looking at the catalogue there didn’t seem to be anything that is out of the ordinary in his collection. Couldn’t even spot a George Best autograph! The two home games after Munich and 1948 FA Cup final look to be the only collectible ones. Obviously , they are all very special to the seller.. Perhaps a couple of rare ones are tucked away? It will be interesting to see how they do at auction. Good luck to him.
