Going from memory

There were programmes for both games i nthe 1924 Olympics v Bulgaria and Netherlands. There was also a programme for the game at Portsmouth v Netherlands in1948.

The home game v the Dutch in the qualifiers for Rome also saw a programme issued. I've never seen anything for the away game.

As per the other thread I'm pretty sure there was one for the home game v GB in the 68 qualifiers.

The home game v Yugoslavia in Ballybofey saw a programme issued for the Munich qualifiers. I never saw anything from Rijeka.

Again the home game v Czechoslovakia for Montreal but never saw anything for the away game.

Norway home in the qualifiers for Moscow does exist. I was outbid on ebay years ago and would love to get it. No idea why it is so rare. the away game turns up all the time.

There was a programme done for Sweden away and a leaflet done for France away. nothing known for Spain or Hungary.

Thanks very much.

So basically all the finals games and all the home qualifiers.

Plus warmups v LofI, GB, Derry, Liverpool and NW Selection.

Plus aways in GB, Norway, Sweden and France (leaflet).

Do you know the dates for both Montreal 1976 qualifiers v Czechoslovakia and the Moscow 1980 home qualifier v Norway?

They aren't on RSSSF or Wikipedia.

Czechoslovakia home (Dublin) 15/5/75 and away 7/6/75 in Ostrava.

I don't have the Norway date as no decent record of such games exists apart from a book published circa 1976.

I believe the Ireland v Norway match was on 16 May 1979, a 0-0 draw, but can't find confirmation of that, and don't know the venue. Hope that helps!

I don't speak Norwegian but the away leg programme appears to say:

Dublin 16th May 1979
Ireland-Norway 0-0
OL Qualifying
81 attendance

Doesn't specify what ground but there is a team pic in front of a terrace.

Looks more like Tolka than Dalymount.

EDIT: Actually searching online brings up a couple of database sites saying those details are right - including crowd of just 81! - plus being Tolka Park:

Thanks 81 seems a tiny attendance. No idea why it would be so small but maybe explains why the programme is so scarce.

Could be typo of course - but as you say would explain programme rarity.

Oddly there is no edition of the Irish Times the next day (Thursday 17th).

Some kind of strike or security incident in Dublin?

If so news of it didn't make Glasgow Herald!

Barcelona-Dusseldorf (CWC) and Rangers-Hibs (Scottish Cup replay)...

... might've been on Irish TV but doubt they'd be huge draw to Dubliners.

There were a lot of strikes in the late 1970's. Barcelona v Fortuna was on TV. A very rare live TV game in those days. However hardly a reason for such a small crowd. UK TV was available in Dublin in those days as well.

There's a programme from Waterford v Irish Olympic XI 87-8, it was a testimonial match for Kevin Power.... however it was not played as the Olympic team got badly delayed on their way from Dublin. (Not sure if something else was arranged or if poor Kevin missed out altogether on his big day!). 7-9--1987
