10 days after he passed I thought it right to remember this superb footballer and "King of the Kippax", Colin "Nijinsky" Bell, Manchester City and England star whose career began at Bury. I guess most of us watched him play and probably saw him score against our teams, for a midfield player he was prolific hitting 142 league goals in 476 games for his 2 clubs. And a gentleman too, with time for everyone. This obit was in the i paper this week, and the photo below that is from England v Czechoslovakia, the famous shot of Bell sliding in to score past Ivo Viktor in 1974 - one of his 9 England goals.




RIP Colin, you were a true great.

Another legend gone, I always admired Colin and secretly wished he was in our team.
