Certificate of Authenticity???

The wording of the CoA in this lot seems to me to be a bit woolly.

The signature may look genuine and, it may well be genuine, but the issuer only seems to be expressing an opinion and not a fact in the CoA.

I have not had much experience of CoAs so is this generally how they are worded?

There are other lots in the same auction which mention CoA's but not all of them include a photo of the CoA.

I assume that the seller is not the issuer of the CoA but as this item (and others) is being sold by an Auction House, then it would be purchased at one's own risk.

The advice I always follow was told to me a few years ago

"COA's are only as good as the person who issued it, and if they are not around, or can't be found, then its just a worthless piece of paper!"

I'm not an expert but signature looks good to me. Looks like the signer has even put a hole in the picture when signing - I think a faker would have been a lot more careful than that.

Maybe it would be worth giving the authenticator a call or looking them up to see what experience they have etc.
