Leeds Homes 1946/47

[CAFC1947]

For 1946/47 Leeds issues most of my homes
are with blue covers.

However 3 have yellow/gold covers

Can any Leeds collectors advise whether
just a few games had the yellow cover
making them rare or was there generally
just a mix of covers the printers used.

There was a mix of colours, some would say that the yellow ones may be rarer, there were some games that were both colours, I guess the printers ran a large number of covers in blue, & some in yellow, and used them piecemeal. Hope this helps

A fellow Portsmouth collector made some enquiries, and told me that there were Blue and Gold covers for the Portsmouth game as well as Arsenal and Manchester United.
I would stress that I have no confirmation of this.

25/12/46 Middlesbrough Blue cover
28/12/46 Preston N E Blue cover
18/1/47 Chelsea Blue cover
1/2/47 Liverpool Blue cover
22/2/47 Wolves Gold Single Sheet
22/3/47 Arsenal GOLD cover
5/4/47 Brentford Blue cover, & Gold cover
8/4/47 Man U GOLD cover
19/4/47 Aston Villa GOLD cover
3/5/47 Stoke Blue cover
24/5/47 Portsmouth Blue cover &, Gold cover

Games prior to these were 4 page productions, which did not have covers

Yes there are both colours around for the Arsenal and Manchester United issues.
