Thanks Sorter. I should add that, believe it or not, there are a couple of serious Chorley collectors who, should they hear of this item, would be prepared to pay a good price.

Sorter. You are perfectly entitled to express your opinion. But whether that opinion is right or wrong, don't be such an obnoxious d**k whilst doing it.

Nice to see an opening bid already received, I assume it was not from TheSorter!

Not easily offended, just probably a normal person that doesn't have to be a knob 24/7, you know the type !!!

Shame Forum Member "Willie"(?) the Sunderland collector is still not on here as he used to run a thread with a new Ebay item on it every week and members had to guess how much it would go for...
Reckon this one will go for over £40 Sherlock

I await someone telling you you don't know what you're talking about because you haven't been collecting for 45 years. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Last time I looked it's at £34.36. Not my idea of "Sod all"
I wish I had 45 years experience!

Frustratingly I am not qualified to speak on this topic until next weekend

My second West Ham game and programme was September 6th 1975. I don't think you can call yourself a collector until you own two programmes so close, but crucially not quite 45 years

Rest assured that next weekend I will be in a position to be an expert on every football programme ever produced

Until then I'm afraid I know nothing Surprised

Given that the serious bidding on E Bay does not happen until the last few seconds I am forecasting a final price £62.25.

Bidder #5 takes it to £36.

As a lapsed programne collector with only about 35 years experience, I find this fascinating!

I've counted 16 separate persons posted a comment on this thread which seems to have developed into something of a saga.
41 are currently watching the programme on Ebay, was most of that because of a caustic and so unnecessary comment by one particular person?
I still don't get why he felt it necessary to do it, maybe he might consider apologising?
£36.00 looks a lot more than the 'sod all' he suggested, albeit he did go on to say I would be lucky to get £20.00!
Thanks again to those of you who entered into and supported my initial enquiry.

Watchers do it for different reasons. Some will have the same programme or similar and want to see what it fetches. Some are keeping abreast of the market and one or two are serious about it and they may not bid until the last few seconds.

Anyway, you cannot beat publicity - good or bad. Perhaps he is the one who really wants it? Time will tell. I hope it sells for loads.

Spot on martino. I do all three of these regularly.
Also added to the mix this time is the interest created on this post and I suspect a lot of us want to see how much "sod all" equates to.

Good luck albion99, I too hope it goes really high for you
