Sorry, I put the wrong date for the Newcastle issue which should have been May 1946.

Incidentally there is another Kamraterna v Newcastle issue from June 1949 played in North America PLUS Saskatchewan all Stars v Newcastle from May 1949

Google wasn't much help btw!!

Brentford FC Tour to Sweden in 1949.

There are programmes from the Bees tour to Denmark in 1947 v Staevnet FC (Copenhagen XI).

There's a newspaper for the match Brentford v SV Hamburg in May 1937.

There's a magazine for the match Brentford v Lisboa XI in May 1936 - but after the game.

3 most excellent items regarding Brentford. I have always had a soft spot for Craven Cottage and Fulham, but they have had their chance and i think the law of averages says it will be Brentford to enter the Premier League this time. Fulham have money and will strengthen and next season should gain promotion automatically. Brentford took their eye off the ball v Barnsley and find themselves in tonght's lottery.

All the above of course is just my opinion Wave

Barcelona produced an official programme for the Notts County friendly games in 1914. One programme covered all three games 31st May plus 1st & 7th June.

There is also a programme for 1924 Ajax v Leeds United 18th May 1924 which i sold on eBay about 15 years ago but don’t have a scan.

Thanks for sharing those cracking items, I've added the Hamburg newspaper issue to the list.

Commiserations for the other night, I was looking forward to seeing the Brentford fans at Anfield again. I doubt they would have brought their "swarm" of inflatable bees with them this time though! Smile

Original European Cup 1962/63 was a starting point and then worked backwards.

West Broms first overseas tour was in 1908/09 no idea if programmes were issued but these are the games that were played taken from albiontilwedie.co.uk so there may be some programmes older than the one listed -

Tue 18 May Newcastle United (1) 0-3 Shepherd 2, Wilson 5,000
Thu 20 May Hull City (2) 2-1 Buck, Timmins - * 4,000
Fri 21 May Gefle FC (3) 10-0 Garraty 6, Buck 2, Harris, Manners 6,500

Mon 24 May Hull City (5) 3-4 Thompson, Buck, Timmins (pen) - * 5,500
Thu 27 May Swedish Select XI (5) 2-0 Garraty, Buck 15,000
