We are normally quite fast in complaining about things, but i thought that I would share some nice news - not big in the scheme of things, it won't save lives or clubs from relegation......................

I sent an email to Burton Albion last Sunday to ask if they had a programme and team sheet available from the match against Millwall the day before.

I got an automatic reply saying that 'as per club policy' I would get a reply within 21 days - ouch I thought.

The very next day I got a phone call from a very nice lady who explained that they don't normally send out team sheets, but, as they had some left over she would send one out with a programme to me.

I gave her my payment and the programme arrived the following day.

Thank you Burton for restoring some faith in me.

Now you bigger clubs who never answered my questions re: youth issues - this is the way to look after fans.

Well played Burton. That's the good old fashioned service that all clubs used to provide back in the days when fans mattered most.

When I used to write to clubs as a kid back in the late 70s, you always got a response, usually a lovely personal letter, and quite often a freebie or two.

It's nice to hear stories like this Fishy.
