I've picked up a copy of BPA v Middlesbrough League Cup 1965, its unusual as it has a white cover (no picture), as opposed the green and white covers from the 60's.
Any value in it?
Cheers

Jim,
Avenue produced paper covers for the 1963/64 and 1964/65 seasons in an effort to reduce costs, i.e. by not having a glossy cover. On first look it looks like the prgramme does not have a cover.
I paid £3 for a copy with team changes a couple of years ago. Are you looking to sell it on? If so I would like to replace my substandard copy |

I have the full set mine only cost me £1.50, my word hasn't inflation mounted everything.
He is right for two seasons they produced a white with green print programme then went into a more fancy arrangement in 1965/66, green programme with a picture of the main stand in the middle of it. _________________ Harry says "UP THE AVENUE".

HI all BPA supporters,
A bit off-line but can anyone confirm the highest Post-war attendance at Park Avenue was 25,655 vs Bradford City on 30th Sep 1950 for a Div 3 (N) game?
If not, can someone correct me!
If so, has anyone got any info on availability & cost to obtain this one?
Thanks in advance for the info !!! |

There is a reason why they did a small Programme, all clubs produced a pocket sized programme because of its cheapness, even some of the top plight clubs had them, Bradford P A had them maybe about the late fifties to the middle sixties they started losing supporters and a lose of this money lead them to sell off Kenny Hibbert (WOLVES) and Kevin Hector (DERBY COUNTY). _________________ Harry says "UP THE AVENUE". |
