Official 1966 badge World Cup

Can anyone give me some info and pictures about the official 1966 World Cup badge - i have just got one of eBay and it looks like a fake

The ones worth good money are the rectangular ones with the union jack in the background, the round tournament logo, and then either Steward, Superintendant, Press (with ribbon), or Official on them as well. All should be £100+(any less and I'd be suspicious to be honest, although it is possible you can 'do well')

So many others are more modern remakes or just modern badges.

They will also have the "F.A. 1963" backstamp on too.

I've long been after one, but aren't willing to pay £180.

I've bid £120 on both the "Steward" and the "Official" versions in the past year, but have been outbid by better snipers.

Without the ribbon, £140 is a truer valuation, which is why the same £180-priced examples remain unsold on eBay and keep on appearing.

Re your last line Dorking, yes there are many modern '66 badges, but there are also many affordable originals too aside from the few you mention mate.
