Billy Ronson, a player for Blackpool, Cardiff, Wrexham, Barnsley and Birmingham, dies. Only 58.

I follow Nigel's Facebook page, as he has good information on football cards from the 1950's-1970's, and keeps track of those players, depicted on cards, who pass away. Good to follow if interested in cards.

A great little footballer, he was only at Cardiff for two seasons but he's remembered fondly by those who saw him play. I followed his career in the US too. My little tribiute is included here:

Billy was a fans favourite at Blackpool as it appears he was at all his clubs.

His workrate and committment was fantastic always giving 100%.

He was a joy to watch, taking on players from a deep position and creating all manner of havoc in opposing defences.

He scored some special goals for us and will be fondly remembered.

RIP Billy.
