Recently I was lucky enough to be offered a collection of photos by a lovely lady whose brother had died aged 52, his name was Derek Shelley, a Brummie who had settled in Croydon as in the 70's he became a serious punk rocker! He also had over 4000 punk vinyl 45's which must have been worth a fortune. But I was more than happy to offer the lady a fair sum for the 50 original photos and they arrived last week.

Among them is a superb batch of West Brom & Wolves photos, and I show a few of them here. I've sold them already but the buyers don't frequent this website.

West Brom v Port Vale, FAC Semi Final, Villa Park, 1954.

West Brom v Bolton 53/4

Wolves training 1950's - Hancocks, Broadbent, Swinburne, Mullen

Wolves v West Brom 1953/4 - Williams saves from Lee as Shorthouse tackles

West Brom v Tottenham, undated, Eddie Baily challenging Albion keeper.

Aston Villa training on icy ground, Jan 54.

I posted a couple last week of an Orient player and also Luton v Blackpool in the FA Cup so I won't show those again.

Superb stuff and I was lucky the lady found me on Google.

Rubbish. Modern reprints. She saw you coming. One born every minute. Laughing

The training photo is awesome . No tattoos' , earrings or silly haircuts there. No modern state of the art training facility's . Love it.

Here's another from this lovely collection, this time from Div 3 South, 1953/4 season. Just for a bit of fun, can anyone name the 2 teams playing? The away team, in the lighter shirts, are defending.

Thanks for sharing those Treble, really interesting - I'm a blue, but my old man was a red. He never went though after Munich. Couldn't get over it. I bought him a book on Tommy Taylor for his birthday about 10 years ago and he could barely read it for the emotion.
