Apologies folks but I can't work out how to do a link to the specific 'page' of my website on an iPad, mainly because my site uses 'frames'.
Anyway, navigate via MEMORABILIA to the BADGES section.
You might even find other things of interest on your way!

Nice collection. Re the 'Kings of the League' sew on patch. Sadly I don't think it is as old as you think. I have a Palace one the same, and bought it myself in the club shop, circa 1989/1990, so it's not likely to be any older than mid-80s I would have thought.

Thanks for the advice - I'll look into changing it.

Love your badge site MT, would love to see my County badges displayed like that.

Really enjoyed browsing the card section too.

Thanks for the kind words.

At a tangent, there used to be a Newport County cards site called, I think, Tangerine Tommy. Do you know what happened to it?

Yes, Tangerine Tommy was my mate's site MT, I had a lot of my own stuff displayed on there too.
He too is a mad keen collector of Newport County, and especially Lovell's Athletic.

He isn't hosting it any more though, not sure why.
I think it was maybe too time consuming, as he is a family man, works full time, and never misses a County game home or away.
It seemed really popular too judging by the nice feedback he used to get.

A real shame that.

As I recall he had a lot of actual player-related stuff too. A real labour of love.
Shame. Crying or Very sad

Yes that was my site, thanks for the nice comments.
To be honest it started just as a small venture to put my County card collection on, then a few programmes, oh and a few press pics etc etc...., I quickly ran out of space and bought more which I soon filled too, then I started to get free space by signing up for starter packs which I linked up to the main site, to be honest it was learning as I went on as I had zero knowledge of building websites etc and it all got a bit messy and untidy. Anyway after a few years there was so much stuff on there and fellow County fans were still sending scans of programmes, press pics etc, like Little Wiggy said above it took a hell of a lot of my time uploading files writing captions, around the same time I was also helping my son with his website as at the time he took photos at Newport matches this coupled up with sorting pics out for the programme and for the press again took its toil on my time. I hadn't updated TT for over a year when there were issues with the web provider and I missed a payment when my paypal was low and it was almost impossible to try and get the pages back, the help system was unbelievably bad so I sadly just had to let it go, do I regret it? yes of course its a shame but it was almost a victim of its own success really, it go a bit out of hand!

Hi Chris! Long time no converse! As I recall we used to chat a bit and I remember when first you set the site up and asked me for a bit of advice.
It's a shame that it's gone awry; as I said earlier, it looked a real labour of love and was so diverse (as indeed my own site is becoming!)

In my own case, I have run out of the meagre space supplied by my ntlworld server, so I'm now in the process of re-scanning pretty much everything at 300dpi to get good crisp, true images, all of which I am transferring to Photobucket, which costs nowt, but if ever that goes titzup I'll be in the clarts!

Good to hear from you again, my friend. When the website disappeared I wondered ...

Haha it did grow at quite an alarming rate didn't it mate.

You created a bit of a monster really.

I was one of those who aided it getting out of hand, must admit, I just couldn't resist sending stuff to pop on there!!

Used to love looking back at it all while I was having a beer in the evenings, admiring everybody's treasured Newport keepsakes.

I'm extremely impressed with MT's Huddersfield site, he must have spent an age just scanning stuff.

The enthusiasm there simply oozes out of every page.
No matter which team you collect, that's something we can all enviously admire.

Yes of course I well remember now it was visiting your Huddersfield site that inspired me to set up TT. I lost count of the number of hours I spent scanning uploading etc.
It was a labour of love and I would certainly do it a lot differently if I was starting again today.
