The Blackburn v Middlesbrough FAC 3rd round game was due to be played on 5/1/63 but due to the big freeze it was postponed until 5/3/63. Does anybody know if a programme was produced for the game on 5/1?

Also, could anybody enlighten me of any rearranged dates for the tie between 5/1/63 & 5/3/63 that were consequently postponed again and if so were any programmes produced for them?

It's getting that time of year again for postponements so I thought I'd give this a bump up again.

Hi Rocky
I havent seen a copy but thats not to say it doesn't exist. Ive bought two other Blackburn home postponed programmes from this era that were thought to be non-issues in the last year.

Hi Rocky,
In the updated "Ultimate Guide to Middlesbrough Football Programmes since 1899" published last December, it is still listed as 'No known issue.'

The amount of research that has gone in to this book is unbelievable, so if Gary & Co don't think it's out there, I doubt it exists.

Hi Andrew,

Yep, as you can see I've been chasing this info since the first post in January 2015. The last attempt to get a definitive answer was made in December 2016 just prior to us getting the book published. As you mention we've listed it as a "No known issue".

The amount of structured research has taken many many hours over the last 4 years with some info coming from a lot of good people on this forum who provide a fount of knowledge.
