1914 FA Cup Final Burnley v. Liverpool - was offered it for £500 in 1986 and couldn't afford it. The VIP Royal Box edition was up at auction last year but I got outbid.... Sad

The 5 post war Burnley programmes I am missing to complete my collection.

And the programme which will be issued when Burnley win the World Club Championship!! Laughing

Hmm. The 1934/35 Amateur Cup final and replay, I suppose. Both, I suspect, beyond my reach barring a major stroke of luck.

I wouldn't mind the 3rd round tie, Wimbledon vs HMS Victory. 18080 (record crowd) crammed into Plough Lane must have been a sight!

Pre-war Wimbledon programmes (except Dulwich Hamlet away) always seem so extravagently priced, but that's the market force I suppose, too many of us after the limited number around.

Bert,

I seem to remember the 34/5 Amateur Cup final played at Ayresome Park going for £1,000 at an auction in Middlesbrough a few years ago. Another popped up at a later auction and went for approx £750. They are still out there if you've got the money!!! I got one in a collection about 10 years ago for a fraction of those prices. Lucky me.

Hi Rocky,

Yes, a fellow Wimbledon collector paid somewhere between those prices for his copy, and said the replay was considerably more expensive.

Unless I change jobs to one that allows me to fuel, rather than feed, my passion, I'll be forever looking on from afar at those prices, unless someone wants to swop for 20 copies of the 1988 Charity Shield Laughing
