Wimbledon played in the Intertoto Cup in 1995

One combined programme was issued for the two home games (played at the Goldstone Ground, Brighton) against Bursaspor and Beitar Jerusalem

The was a programme for the away game at Košice, but no issue for the away game at Charleroi

Wimbledon and Tottenham were then both banned for a year from European competition for playing weakened teams (I went to the game against Beitar, I think, and we had a very strange assortment of players, including a couple from Man United!). Tottenham lost their game in Koln 0-8!!

Of course, Wimbledon also "qualified" for the Cup Winners Cup in 1988/89 but this was during the post Heysel ban ... Barcelona at Plough Lane would have been fun!

Managed to get a full list, including teams, dates, scores, scorers, attendances, etc from various internet sites, also scans of most programmes issued (or match tickets). Unfortunately some information required - as a few British clubs do not respond to requests for information! (I note these are the clubs who no longer have a chance of further appearances in Europe!)

I've just completed the full list of all British Isles clubs in Europe, including dates, opponents, venue, score, British scorers, attendances (where recorded) and the competition/round of each match. Also there are more than half the match programme covers scanned; I know quite a lot of matches did not have a programme produced.
At the same time I've also just about completed the full run of senior international matches played by all five countries, giving the same details, and including programme covers (mainly from my own collection). Obviously I'm missing quite a lot of programmes pre - 1945, but just a few dozen since 1946.
At present it's all on my lap-top.
My plan is to get a book publisher interested, or it could go on a web site.
Problem is - I don't know how to go about either option!
Anyone got a contact - I don't want to pay "an arm and a leg" but I would like to see a result for my efforts.

Afternoon Vinnie

I've produced a 310 page book of Sheff Wed programmes from 45/46 to 09/10.

Its been done by lulu.com. A print on demand publisher. You create the book as a pdf, upload it, design the cover and jobs a good un.

There is a price to print and you can set your own price for the public.

If you get a minute google lulu.com and search for Sheffield Wednesday. You will see the Anoraks Guide Vol2.

Theres absolutely no financial risk to you as a publisher but the disadvantage is the unit cost is more expensive

pm your email address and I'll send a sample over
