I'm looking to get a few items in my programme collection signed, starting with the Wales v Scotland 77 programme (my first hazy memory of seeing Scotland on the telly).

Now, I'm assuming getting King Kenny and Joe Jordan to sign would be a fairly straightforward exercise in sending the programme to them at their clubs and asking nicely, but beyond that how do you trace ex-players?

Any advice appreciated.

I find Wikipedia is a great help also the national football associations, and also many football clubs have a former old boys associations. I have very good successes from the likes of Liverpool, WBA, and Notts C, though send an email first to see if they will help and as Wullie a has said "Where are they now" is also good

Good luck
