Todays offering.

If someone pays that I'll piss my pants. Got mine for about a fiver. Not the easiest to get hold of but certainly nowhere near that difficult!

It's a Swansea vs. Barrow FA Cup 3rd Round programme from 1963-64, the year we reached the semi-final.

It's not a particularly easy to get programme, but it's not that rare either and you can generally pick one up for around a fiver.

The guy's trying to sell it for £100 - claiming that it's the only one of it's kind on ebay!! Even though he bought it last week for £12.50 with a collection of other sixties programmes.

So we're doing the decent thing and bombarding him with crappy offers Smile

ooh I've gone to £1.30

Someone tried to flog Everton v Panathinaikos 1970-71 HOME leg for £100 - I said perhaps he'd like to buy the 4 spare copies I had at the time - £100 the lot. He declined.

Maybe if you've got a spare you should suggest he buy it off you for £20.

Here is one. 2004/05 Norwich V Liverpool, signed by 11 Liverpool players. £100!!! Lol! Firstly its an away prog for Liverpool and secondly those players did not win anything that season. Paulo's est val = £20-£25 tops.

For the Norwich programme, I see that he wants a fiver for postage - might have to ask him if he's intending to send a house with it.

LOL .. I bought 2 programmes off some woman in Cumbria and the postage was something ridiculous like £2.50 (yeah, yeah, packing - delivery) but for the two she wanted the whole £5. I paid for them separately and got them delivered separately. Ebay should make sellers demonstrate (weight, size etc.) where the postage seems excessive.

Anyway the Swansea prog comes with free p&p - bloody well should at that price!

Was in an ebay shop the other night, lokking at football books and handbooks. Guy was wanting fixed price sales or best offer.
I bought the following on best offer terms
Stockport County Complete Record - Breedon £12.50
Jimmy Guthrie Soccer Rebel 1975 £5 excellent condition, complete with excellent d/j
Diss Town Official history £4
The Broxburn Football story £5
Derby County handbook 1948 £8
Norwich Handbook 1960 promotion souvenire £3.
The guy willingly accepted a 25% less than best offer, could probably have got more off, but thought I was getting the books at excellent prices - and he charged nothing for postage!!! Books came securely packaged in proper cardboard book parcels as well. Just shows there's bargains to be had as well as the rip off merchants.
It's a buyer's market out there.

heres another one - £300 for this little lot. Although quite a nice little lot a few of them look a bit tatty. What price would our forum members value a collection like this at?

Thats looks like a great collection of programmes/tickets for a Chelsea fan but I'd be looking at around £200 I think.

This guy has had them on ebay for a while. First he started them on £450 and they have slowly gone down.

Well, looks like the guy selling the Barrow programme has finally decided to be normal, and the programme is back up with a 99p starting price.

I hope he sells it for that much and manages to still lose money after insertion fees and the styling he used.
