After a lifetime collecting Blackpool programmes I have finally obtained the very scarce friendly against Hamburg from 1952.

This was my last known 1st team home programme in all competitions since 1946/7 season.

Cheers MisterGas and Dorking.

Not too far off 45/6 season.

Just 2 homes and 1 away needed.

After one copy sold for £750 hammer price (£900+ all in) I thought to myself I will probably never own this programme. Then a day later a chap from Georgia came to the West London fair I was helping at offering one around. Originally he wanted £800 for it but after a few days of sticking to my final offer he finally caved and I picked it up this afternoon for £625!

Pleased as pie but is at least the next 2 months purchases!

A good deal or not!

Hi, Very nice programme and the only Spurs one I am missing in European competition. I do have a colour copy which at those prices will have to do! It is certainly the rarest of the away games.

Really pleased to get hold of a programme that I was unaware of 2 years ago.

It is for a postponed League Cup quarter final replay between Sheffield United and Blackpool dated 27/2/62.

Apart from filling another gap, it is a significant purchase because reaching the semi final that season is the furthest Blackpool have got in the competition, and now I have a complete set of programmes.

Thanks go to Dave Allen......managed to obtain the Bolton v Portsmouth 48-49 programme via his offers list. In addition I also managed to obtain the Sunderland v Portsmouth 48-49 programme via Ebay! Only two programmes each required now for both Pompeys Championship seasons! Smile At present its taken 25 years of trying to obtain all the homes and always from the 1948-49 and 1949-50 seasons to get to this stage! Nearly there!
