Storing Old Football Programmes

Hi Everyone

After recently helping out an older Yeovil Town supporter to expand his collection by searching for programmes online I have now "caught the bug" and have now started a collection of my own

I was just wondering if it is best to store old programmes (up to the late 70s) open or closed? By being open they are less likely to move around too much in the plastic pockets I put them in but I am just worried this could somehow damage the programme when in storage?

Any tips would be much appreciated.
