Interesting auction for fans of Liverpool FC.

Selling loads of stuff from the Melwood Training Centre.

Some crazy estimates if you ask me though

I remember when West Ham did something similar in 2016, stuff went for absolutely silly money but each to their own Smile

Some of it, i understand. But a door sign that says "toilet" estimated for betwen £80 and £100. Madness!

But as you say, each to their own

Some nice signed shirts if people are into that

I thought a pony was £25, not between £80 & £100!

You may need to translate that little gem for our northern correspondents

I think you'll find the estimates will be on the low side. Every item is unique and to Liverpool fans with deep pockets, they will be the holy grail.

ooh I definitely need a pair of gloves signed by Karius Clap

I've been to Melwood several times, I should have took a screwdriver

£100 plus for door signs is absurd

Not so long ago, most of it would have ended up in a skip.

Totally agreed. There are coat hooks for similar valuation. Would cost a fiver from Robert Dyas. Nothing on the item shows it was Liverpool related

Reminds me of one of my other passions, steam trains. Talking to a chap at a boot sale in the Wolverhampton area he told me a few years earlier he had been down to the local station , Wolverhampton Low Level, which had recently closed to passenger traffic. Workmen had already started to rip the signage down and place into a skip. He came upon the skip and noticed several totems, signs to name the station and asked if they were scrap and could he have one. he helped himself to the best example he could find. Useless you may say but this soon found the market value in later years, about £2000. Strange world.
