Help wanted please:

I want to purchase something from USA but are put off by Customs Charges which is nearly £15.00. Why do we have to pay this and why isn't it charged when sending to America?

You can request that the seller doesnt include any invoice and marks as a gift, then you won't pay customs tax on it.

To qualify as gifts, goods must be:

described as gifts on the customs declaration
for a birthday, anniversary or other occasion
bought and sent between individuals (not companies)
intended for personal use
