I am pleased to confirm that I am organising a Programme and Memorabilia Fair at a new venue: the NORTH SOMERSET FAIR at the Clubhouse, WESTON-SUPER-MARE FC FC, Optima Stadium, Winterstoke Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS24 9AA, THIS SUNDAY (September 8) 10.30am - 1.30pm. BE THERE IF YOU CAN!

The traders attending include:
ROGER & ANTONY COOMBS (Cardiff based): The largest dealers in Wales with an incredible range of programmes and other memorabilia, particularly strong on Welsh materiial.
MARTIN LANE (Surrey based): A Chelsea specialist, who has stands at several other fairs, and who stocks a wide range of items from other clubs.
NWM FOOTBALL (Middlesex based): Lee Hermitage will bring Big Match programmes from 1940's to 2019; an extensive magazzine stock from the 1950's onwards, including Charles Buchan's Football Monthly, Soccer Star, Goal, FA News, Shoot, Match and 'new' Football Monthly; pre-1960 Football League and pre-1970 Non-League ptogammes; books, shirts, laminated posters and other football collectables.
PLUS several local collectors with surplus stock for sale.

Speaking personally, as a relatively new dealer, I try to cover all aspects of second-hand programme collecting: Big Matches (Internationals, Finals and Semis); A decent range from virtually all League clubs in England and Scotland plus a few from Ireland (although with a slight bias for West Country clubs as I am based in Plymouth).

I shall also have a wide range of over 400 English and Scottish Non-League Clubs programmes with me, including v League Clubs in the FA Cup and in Friendlies, (again with a slight bias for West Country Clubs); plus a range of Testimonial Matches, Reserve and Youth team programmes and Teamsheets.

Because I travel widely throughout the country attending Fairs, often buying more programmes than I sell, I am constantly replenishing my stock, so collectors often find something on my stand that they are looking for!

If any collectors wish me to bring any specific items to this Fair, please contact me by email on or (preferably) before Friday September 6 (as I shall be driving up from Plymouth on the Saturday): [email protected]. Or phone 07543-845396.

WILL BE BUYING ON THE DAY: CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL OR PHONE

hi Westwood, I have complete run of World soccer magazines from Jan 92- Dec 2002 all in official binders plus another 50 odd editions from 2003 on wards (not in binders) - would you be interested in these?

regards, Mark

Hi Mark,
Sorry I don't deal in magazines, but I shall be quite relaxed if other Forum Members reading this are interested and contact you.

My grateful thanks to all the collectors and traders that did support the event.
The attendance was sightly disappointing, not many collectors from the two Bristol clubs, but there were some holidaymakers from Yorkshire and Lancashire who popped in, and in one case spent well. Other collectors travelled up specially from Bournemouth and Wincanton.
Will try again next year, hopefully with better all-round results.

Well done, Gordon for arranging as always.

The Bristol event on 24 November should be better attended.

Thanks, Slugger!
Yes, we are expecting a much better attendance at the BAWA Club, 589 Southmead Road, Filton, BS34 7RF on Sunday November 24.
It's a superb venue and a wide range of dealers from all over the country will be present..
We staged a Fair there earlier in the year. Unfortunately, it clashed with Bristol City's televised FA Cup-tie with Wolves so we did not get many City collectors attending.
Hopefully, there will be more there in November1

i went to help my mate John Matthews with his stall and had a thoroughly enjoyable few hours (apart from humping the boxes).

I managed to pick up some decent Cardiff items.

It was my first programme fair since one I organised in Cardiff in 1991!
