Some very sad news to report that Bispham Seasider ... Jonathan Parker sadly passed away on Sat 21st Sept aged 65

Jonathan attended the Accy vs Pool game that day with his two lads and after the game they walked to the old Accy ground at Peel Park for a few drinks in the Peel Park pub .. it was here that he started to feel unwell and sadly collapsed with a heart attack

I know many of the forum members will have dealt with Jonathan .. he was a fairly prolific poster up to a year or two ago especially in showcasing some of his progs in the " On This Day " feature

JP was a great pal of mine who I had known for over 40 years and we both shared a passion for The Pool and collecting

Jonathan's funeral is taking place on Tues 15th Oct at 1:15pm at Carleton Crem here in Blackpool .. everybody welcome

JP is survived by his wife Jean, sons Jamie & Jonathan and daughter Sarah

R.I.P. my friend ! x

Truly such sad news. I have had a few dealings with Jonathan over the years and he was always helpful, exemplary and respectful. Showcasing his collection as he did has been one of the forums highlights.

A real loss to our hobby. R.I.P. Sir.

I exchanged a few reserve items and emails with Jonathan over the years, and he was never anything other than pleasant, approachable, and knowledgeable.

He helped make the hobby and the forum what it is, contacts and friends we've maybe never put face or voice to, but always happy to help.

A sad loss indeed.

I never actually met Jonathan or even spoke to him on the phone, but we exchanged posts on this Forum for many years and also PM messages together.

We were both chasing a particular Blackpool and United programme for years and agreed if either one of us ever obtained it then a copy would be sent to the party that missed out.

I always read Jonathans comments on this forum as he spoke good sense and was a real old school collector who although as John has already mentioned eased off the forum a little while ago, but will still be sorely missed for his input and good knowledge of Blackpool F.C. programmes.

Condolences to all his Family....

Sad

I'm not around on the forum as much as I used to be, but I've been very saddened by this news.

Thank you to Jockdodds for letting us know. Conversed with JP many times over the years.

I was only in Bispham in August, when I stopped and had a kick-a-bout with our Dan on the beach on the way to pick my daughter up from the Norbreck.

Thoughts and condolences to all the family.

Such sad news, very sorry to read this. I had some dealings with Jonathan 3 or 4 years ago, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Condolences to Jonathan's family and friends.
