West Ham reserves v Reading reserves, Football Combination, was switched to the Chadwell Heath training ground on 11th May - the venue was mentioned in the previous programme so not a last minute switch. West Ham played a few end of season reserve team games at Chadwell Heath in the 1970s but as far as I know they did not charge admission so not sure why a ticket would exist for this date

The only alternative is that a schools or representative match was played at Upton Park that day but I have no record of this and these sort of games had become quite rare by the late 1970s

I'm afraid searches in the newspapers drew a blank. As Sid mentioned, West Ham played Reading at Chadwell Heath on 11/5 drawing 2-2. I'd assume that the Boleyn Ground resided in the Borough of Newham which may have a connection with the writing on the top of the ticket pointing towards a schools game.
