Never mind your star striker, your outspoken manager or even your beneficent owner.......let's hear it for the man who makes the pitch playable.

Good on Flights FC for giving Mr.Guy due prominence on their programme cover.

Palace's former groundsman, Len Chatterton even got a testimonial game in his honour, think it was a 1987 pre-season friendly v Watford.

The guy concerned was well known and loved at the club having spent pretty much his whole working life at Palace.
