Is it only me but I am so out of touch with the modern game that I can't ever recall hearing and knowing Chris Gunnter who as just equaled Nev Southalls record of international Caps.

Show me a team pic from any team that was in the top two divisions in 1979 and ill be able to name all bar a couple on each pic, show me a team pic from the same teams from 5 years ago and i will struggle to get a couple.

Yes, I can recite almost every cup final team from about 1963 to 1990 and now I couldn't tell you which teams were in this year's final, let alone the players.

Collecting & selling black & white press photos doesn't help me keep up to date either!

No, it's the clubs and media that are out of touch with the historical & statistical element of football.
