Lovely press photo on eBay now showing action from this game which is 86 years old.

Except it isn't. It has a 1980's Press Assoc reprint label on it. You can tell by the phone number & post code, plus the white label is a photocopy.

Well spotted and thank you for warning everybody. There are now 4 bids raising price to nearly £50. If you reported the seller to eBay, would they then be 'photoshopped'?

Time and time again I see items being peddled as 'original' or 'First Edition'. So are they simply stupid or trying it on?

Auction now cancelled - interesting that when you look at the cancelled bids you can see what the highest bid was for each - in this case 155.98
