I came across this team photo in a box last night but have no idea who the team shown is, nor is there anything on the photo to suggest who they are. It has been stuck into an album at some point but there is nothing else on the back.

Any help from some of the resident photo experts is much appreciated.

Thanks, Matt

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, it looks like Chelsea from around 1963 ish. Ron Harris, Terry Venables on end of rows to the right, Back row from left, Norman Medhurst and Ken Shellito, ?, Eddie McCreadie, Peter Bonetti, ?, ?, Marvin Hinton. Also the lights in the background look like the dog track style lights at Stamford Bridge at the time.
My only doubt is that there are no badges on the shirts.

Is it valuable if it has Peter Bonetti in it Laughing

Definitely Chelsea

Back Row: Medhurst in coat (?), Shellito, A Harris, McCreadie, Bonetti, Mortimore (?), Moore, Hinton, R Harris.

Bridges, Tambling & Venables in the front plus a few more I can't recognise plus there's no Osgood which as someone suggests above could mean it's about 1962/3.

Nice item but Bonetti collectors like match action above anything else.

I see Chelsea had their team doctor ( white coat) in the line -up.Obviously to look after the victims of a young Ron "Chopper" Harris! Back row far right.

Thanks. I was more said in jest as I’m always amazed what those Bonetti people seem to pay for some items. It will be going on eBay sometime soon so hopefully someone will like it.

Also have a team photo from Leeds United 1922/3 but condition isn’t very good.

Is it stamped on the back? And how bad is the Leeds one? Is that one stamped too?

Yes, I know you were joshing. There are 2 major players in the Bonetti stakes, it's totally crazy but there you are, the market prevails. Sadly it's distorted everything else, people see those photos going through on Ebay and then stick everything else on at daft prices.

You should get double figures (£10-£20) for the Chelsea one and something similar for a Leeds one in good nick.

Pete - Thank you as ever for the advice.

Here is the reverse of the Chelsea photo (nothing of note)

And then here is the Leeds photo (postcard) which I mentioned so any guidance on that is helpful.

Front:

Rear:

Both had been in a box in the garage so will be on eBay soon to see if they attract any interest or not.

I rest my case.

Who is this A.H. Bohannan chap? I've seen his name around for 20 years or more but never had any dealings with him.

Alec Bohannan - originally from Plymouth and has been based near Stoke for 20+ years. Must be around 45-50 by now. Has had some good quality stuff fairly consistently over the years but always seems to ask a fair whack - whether he gets what he wants, who could say? Seems to have rebranded as an autograph specialist now, which must be a challenge in today's world of indistinguishable scribbles and copious fakes.

Alec Bohannan used to run an auction up here in the North West (Sporting Past Times?) until around 10/15 years ago when he gave up as, I beleive, it was not cost effective.

I met him a couple of times. Good, friendly, guy.
