So now we know how much it was for officials in the early 50's in U.S Tour games, $45.

This is from the 7-1 Spurs victory over Manchester United and an interesting little item you don't see every day. The kind of item I love to come across, a bit different from the usual programmes. It's from the old United States Soccer Football Association.

United had actually played Tottenham the day before in Toronto and Spurs sneaked it 5-0!, so the following day United had some revenge when they met in New York and scored a goal but let in another 7!.

United played 11 matches on their North American Tour and only lost these 2 games v Tottenham, admittedly they met some local sides put together on the trip and only met one other Club side from Mexico[Atlas] still despite the 2 hammerings by Tottenham United scored 52 and conceded only 8 before 12 v Spurs.
This is the programme and a badge from the game https://flic.kr/p/QsavVE and also from the game in Toronto https://flic.kr/p/6kmgRy

ooops!

I put down an incorrect link yesterday, this is the Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United programme played in New York in 1952 with souvenir badge. Tottenham hammered United 7-1.

Thanks Leslie,

I noticed the original link was to another game.

I sold a Dundee V West Brom friendly from the late 50's in the USA that had a very similar cover to this one.

Great to see the badge too, very nice.
