When I search for "West Ham" in Football Programmes auctions - I only get 810 results.
Normally I see about 2,000 results but then I spotted ebay has automatically applied a filter of "West Ham United" based on whether the seller has bothered/remembered to select West Ham United from the drop down list of teams when he listed the programme
Now I can clear the filter easily enough (which then increases the results to 2,674) but - that's a bit of a pain and must make it harder for sellers to get their programmes seen by potential buyers who haven't realised ebay is applying this unwanted filter
I may not have explained this very well and it doesn't seem to happen every time but still frustrating |

That may explain why I now only get a couple of pages when looking for tickets.
As for the stuff you mention regarding a filter and clearing it etc, you lost me. As will many sellers with all this change for change sake mentality on ebay. |

Every other day they change something, it's a real headache.
Now they've changed the selling listing layout, and how you leave feedback. _________________ NEWPORT COUNTY & GENERAL FOOTY BADGES:

I noticed that too Wiggy.
I also have one buyer for whom it is impossible to leave feedback at all.
I've e-mailed him to explain as he left me excellent feedback, but I shouldn't have to apologise for Ebay messing up again! |

I know mate.
Plus the old feedback system remembered your usual array of comments, so you'd only have to type the first letter - now you have to type out each comment in full, which is a pain when you're leaving a rake of feedback. _________________ NEWPORT COUNTY & GENERAL FOOTY BADGES:

Think Ebay would call it progress !
I would say if it's not broken don't fix it. |

'This is the filter - if you deselect by pressing "x" the number of results goes up to over 2,000'
Thanks. Mine was slightly different as I had to a button on the right saying ungroup similar items, but without you screen shot it would've taken me ages to work out. |

For years I've been in the habit of searching for 'Palace Crystal' all because at one point I got stupid filtered results when searching Crystal Palace! |

Never had that problem as i only check those items that have 24 hours or less to go anyway, can't see the point in being made aware of something immediately it comes on and then having to wait x number of days before bidding ends anyway. If I ever check the BIN stuff it's only those that have recently been listed for obvious reasons....any good stuff's gone after a couple of hours at most. |

Ebay must use different systems, I can relist in batches of up to 200 as normal. |

I think it makes a difference if you are registered as a business seller when you can re-list in bulk but private sellers do not have this option. |

I agree Wiggy, that's a real pain.
The easiest way around it is to enter the first feedback and then copy and paste into the rest. Still a pain, but quicker than typing them all individually. |

Wiggy if your on the new hub which they've forced on me then you can do feedback in one go.
Under Orders
Click on Posted and awaiting your Feedback
Click on the box for everyone that you want to leave feedback
Move to the top, click leave feedback
The second box tick "Use custom comment"
Add your comment which it stores, confirm and that then completes the feedback for everyone you have ticked
It stores your comment and you just repeat for multiple feedback next time you use it and stores your comment
I have business and personal and it works the same on both
Good luck |

Thanks for that work round,it will save time.
If it's not broken why do Ebay have to change it. |

I wanted a programme that was only a simple non league game, the seller had 4 off, i was not going to pay £2 plus £1.50 postage for one so made an offer , he returned with counter offer etc etc. I eventually said OK ill pay you £1.30 plus £1.20 postage. He agreed but refused to list as a buy it now "because it cost him too much". But said in his e bay message to ME you can have it for that price if you pay me via "friends", which i subsequently did as he asked me to. I got a message off E-Bay suspending my account for both sales AND buying. When i agreed to buy it off him I did warn him what might happen ( and it did . . . to me ) NOACTION AT ALL was taken against him for asking me toi break E-Bay rules. YOU DONT THINK ITS BECAUSE E-BAY DONT WANT TO LOSE THEIR fees DO YOU |???? |

It looks as though E Bay are starting to close some of the "dodges" with a no tolerance policy. Go "off piste" at your peril.
I completed a survey for them last week when in answer to one specific question I said that the treatment of buyers and sellers was inconsistent. I assume others who were sent the survey said the same but it remains to see if they listen or take action. |
