I know there are a couple of Edinburgh based fans on here. We are up there in October any programme shops / decent book shops to browse around. We arrive on a Saturday afternoon / leave Wednesday morning.

Also any decent pubs up there that show English premier lge games as my club Leicester City have a Monday night Sky game whilst we are up there.

Brian Johnson (Almondvale Programmes) in Albion Road near Hibernian's Easter Road Ground.

Top bloke.

Doesn't open on a Monday though. He is there on a Saturday and during the week from 10 in the morning. Open until half an hour before kick off if Hibernian at home. Closes earlier if they are away.

You will find his website and details at almondvaleprogrammes.co.uk

Yip, drop Brian an email to check he'll be open when you're wanting to visit, usually 10.00-2.00/3.00 except Mondays.

If there's anything in particular you want to see, he can fish it out for you in advance. It's a small shop but an Aladdin's cave.

As for pubs, there are loads and it depends where you are staying. Most pubs (although not all) will have a TV, and most with show the EPL.

Thanks for all the info. Can't see many people wanting to watch Leicester v WBA on Sky live though.

Might be able to get to the bar then and get a drink instead of fighting my way through hundreds of Japanese tourists with their fake Man Utd scarves on.

Are you staying central Edinburgh? If so there are loads of quality bars that will be showing the game.
Defo worth a visit to Almondvale but email Brian in advance
There were some nice bookshops just up from grassmarket area where I found a few bits and pieces years ago.
