I was flicking through the channels today when I came across a show called Posh pawnbrokers. The show featured a Woolwich Arsenal Directors badge found by a Detectorist on I believe Plumstead Common.

The Pawn Broker did not think it was worth too much so called in an expert who I think was Chris from Sportingold. Anyway long story short he thought it could make four figures. So broker ended up making a deal with the detectorist to buy it for £700 odd.

Anyone know if it ever came up for auction and if so how much it went for?

A very quick google of 'Woolwich Arsenal badge' would suggest it was up for sale by Sportingold in March 2016 (lot 177).

Not sure how you look up the sale price.

I would have guessed £2,000+, but then you may never get the chance to get one of these again if you miss the chance. It is worthy of being in the Arsenal Museum .

On the show Chris said it would be the sort of thing that would interest the AFC museum.

Unless he was on a % of final sale price the original finder under sold himself.
