Following on from another thread on blank pages in programmes I have a 1966 F A Cup Final programme, Everton v Sheffield Wednesday, with alternate blank pages.

Also, there are no printer or publisher details at the bottom of the back cover.

Could this be a printer's proof copy?

Unlikely Martino.
As an ex printer, I assume the blank pages are what we called "doubling" where the machine simply fed two sheets through at once and the bottom sheet would not be printed.
It is quite common, but should have been picked up when the printer himself was checking prior to completing the job.

24 pages. 16 are printed correctly.

Pages 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 18, 19 are blank

Only page numbers 9, 16,17 are numbered. Rest are unnumbered.
