The cataloque for this auction is now available to view online.Some interesting football items, including a 1947 Welsh Amateur Cup winners medal.A suitcase full of 1950s football programmes( mainly Port Vale), two folders of programmes that include a 1944 War time final ,Chelsea v Bolton ( north v south) pirate and some other war -time issues .For music memorabilia collecters, an original lncredible String Band concert poster for a 1971 show at the Guildhall, Portsmouth. Could be worth a look.

A veritable bargain! That's the trouble I suppose with auction houses taking stuff in that they don't have a scooby about - or can't be arsed to check more's the like.

Buyer's premium 24%. They're taking the proverbial as well as not knowing what they're doing.

I agree Auchinleckian. Strange estimate for the United programmes .Perhaps they are all signed by George Best! I doubt it. The 24% is also out of order. I personally used to like the auction houses that didn't have a clue, or couldn't be arsed checking what they had. You used to have a real chance of obtaining a bargain.Not great for the seller, however.Not many of these type of establishments left where l live.They now all seem to be hooked up to internet bidders.l only mentioned this auction because l placed that Welsh Amateur Cup medal in there. Not keen on selling on ebay.
